Nestle Purina Air Handling Equipment Installation

Project Overview
AMS partnered with Nestlé Purina on a new construction project in Eden, North Carolina to install large air handling units within the facility. The project spanned approximately ten months, requiring full coordination from on-site transport to final installation.

The Challenge
The installation presented multiple challenges, including setting large units onto a three-story mezzanine within the building, working under strict ceiling height limitations, and managing ground and floor load restrictions. The complexity of the environment required precise planning and controlled execution to ensure safe placement without compromising structural or operational requirements.

Our Approach
AMS managed on-site transportation of equipment from the laydown yard to the jobsite and developed detailed lift plans, rigging strategies, and safety protocols tailored to the project conditions. Our team operated with dedicated on-site project management and safety personnel to coordinate every phase of the work.
Through careful sequencing, engineered planning, and experienced crews, we were able to safely maneuver and install each unit within the confined and elevated environment.

The Result
All air handling units were successfully installed on schedule and in accordance with project specifications. The project was completed safely and efficiently, demonstrating AMS’s ability to execute long-term, complex installations in challenging construction environments.
