Plant Relocation Case Study
AMS executed a large-scale plant relocation from Klamath Falls, Oregon to Grinnell, Iowa and additional locations across the United States, requiring precise logistics coordination, tight timelines, and constant communication with plant leadership. Utilizing a “pitch and catch” strategy, our crews managed disassembly, loading, transport, and reinstallation, including mobilizing a 60/80 Versa-Lift to Oregon that was used to load three presses and then follow the shipment to Iowa for offloading. When real-time challenges required adjustments, our team adapted quickly to maintain progress without disruption. The project was completed safely, efficiently, and exactly on schedule—delivering a seamless, coast-to-coast relocation.
